We used to love the old castle green restaurant that occupied the building before the Crab Shack and we were by disappointed with a menu that was poorly presented and contains nearly identical dishes under slightly different guises (prawn, white fish and squid with a light coating of something, or battered prawn, white fish and squid two main course options below), our starting sharing platter had one slice of bread to share for the humus and minimal food for our £14 dish, and to decorate every table; a Heinz tomato ketchup plastic bottle (classy!) We were both sick in the night following our meal and I commented to the waiter that the squid was overcooked and the chips to accompany dreadful (they looked like McCain oven chips). The mash potato that accompanied my wife's fish tasted like lard. We love eating out and will eat almost anything, but this was the worst meal we can remember. Such a shame considering the wonderful menu and food that was offered by the old franchise.
