“So cosy!”
Reviewed October 12, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Had the most amazing stay at Inglenook cottage! It was myself and my boyfriends first holiday (in England) and it was so lovely! The cottage is well equipped and is perfect for a cosy weekend away, the surrounding area is so quiet and peaceful! Very close to Alnwick and Bamburgh!

“Good location and comfortable”
Reviewed August 14, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

A lovely cottage with good furnishings and equipment, however I must mention the energy converter/generator outside our bedroom window which ran day and night and made for disturbed sleep. We stayed for a week and adjusted after three days but if you find white noise stressful then it's not for you. This is why I could not recommend to a friend. The owner was very helpful when I made a mistake with my booking dates and it's clear that much thought has gone into the cottage and it was good value for the cost. It is well placed for Bamburgh and Alnwick and we had a good stay. Would have been perfect without the above mentioned noise.

“lovely cottage in a peaceful setting in a beautiful part of the world”

just returned home from 3 nights at this lovely cottage. having read some of the reviews, i get the opinion that some reviewers are professional whingers! it cost us less to stay here than at a travel lodge for the bank holiday weekend!!!, and i'd like to set the record straight, it didnt need cleaning, presented very well. the cottage has stunning views across to the coast and is situated up a private track. we took two dogs and the property has a fenced and walled garden. the cottage is semi detached. the other one was occupied but we had no noise issues. wifi, tv, with freeview satellite channels, dvd. kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc. there is no washing machine, however this wasnt an issue for a long weekend. nicely fitted bathroom with seperate shower. two bedrooms with a double and two single beds. the property has a log burner (we paid extra for first batch of logs) and took some of our own. previous users of the cottage had complained about not being able to get the fire going! (not their problem!) and one had complained about the weather?!! (get real) cottage was lovely and warm with underfloor heating. we used the log burner each night and had no issues with it (there was no poker, however) plenty of places to walk from the cottage (with ordance survey maps) or travel a few miles to the stunning coastline taking in, low newton by the sea (try the joiners arms or ship inn) and we walked down past dustanburgh castle to craster and back. a better coastline, you'd struggle to find. we also walked from seahouses up to bamburgh castle and took a trip across to holy island. all worth seeing and breathtakingly beautiful. i would definitely recommend, but dont tell too many people, we dont want everyone finding out how beautiful northumberland is!

But in need of a good clean i.e. kitchen, cooker, fridge freezer and then the bathroom mainly
the shower. No, No, No, 4/10

I would recommend if cleaner.

Excellent cottage ideally situated for Northumberland's tourist hotspots. Secure garden was ideal for our four legged friends. We would use this cottage again.
