In comparison with the prior reviews, we found the food and the cafe to be fantastic.
Some of the staff may be wwoofers, the lass we spoke to was highly knowledgeable about the area was a better 'tourist information' helper than we have found in many iSites. Friendly, outgoing, chatty and all very relaxed.
Food - fantastic. Huge portions, very well cooked and everything there looked and smelled delightful. Cakes! About twice as high as you'd find in any other cafe, we were just too stuffed from lunch to try one. Everything appeared cooked on the premises, perhaps they have a good cook now.
Cost wise - a bargain we felt. Lunch for ~$15 on food when you get a huge plate of delicious food is well worth it. Drinks weren't overpriced (even considering the lack of other options).
Views - we had a clear sunny day and they were great. To be seen to be believed.
This place may be at the end of a very long road to nowhere (other than the spit), and it was well worth the journey.
