The Broadacre has an hotel feel except that there are no evening meals. The same family have run it for years and were happy to talk to you and give local information. My stay was quiet even though some pilots based at Lydd airport had to leave very early. Breakfast was generous and available from 07.30 in the week if guests needed it then. I had a room at the rear overlooking a large garden but the B&B is near but not on the main road. There is no perceived problem with car parking although I came by bus and was there for the Light Railway. Nearby there is a new fish restaurant or a choice of three pubs. My visit coincided with a sudden drop in temperatures so a short burst of the central heating would have been welcome, otherwise no gripes.

Room Tip: The rooms are priced according to size, mine being a single at second to lowest rate. Those above fi...

This family-run hotel is just off the High Street in New Romney. After a 4 hour delay on a Belgian motorway we wanted somewhere cosy and welcoming before we drove up to Herefordshire to visit family. Luckily, room 4 with a 4-poster bed was available. Spacious room with wonderful olde worlde atmosphere. The people were very friendly and helpful. This hotel represents great value for money too. So glad to have found it as I'm sure we'll be back and stay here to break up our long journey from Holland to W. Midlands UK. We visited nearby Dungeness and sampled the best fish & chips in Britain (according to Derek Jarman, whose garden we also visited). Rye is also nearby. Very pretty town and I highly recommend the milk shakes at the top of the steps from the car park.

Already looking forward to going back!

Room Tip: Recommend room 4, the one with the 4-poster bed.

Arrived late & managed to get a cottage twin room, very clean & spacious room which opens onto the garden, parking was good & a friendly bunch of people in the attached bar. The property is walking distance to the town. Great value for money.

Lovely family run property located in a nice quiet town. Room was large & no doubt recent refurbished, it was lovely & clean with usual facilities & great wifi. The only issue we had was the bed was a bit uncomfortable as it appeared to sag in the middle. There was no actual shower but there was a hand held shower over the bath which was fine but no curtains to keep the water in the bath & we didn't want to wet their floors. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice & the staff were very pleasant/helpful & we enjoyed a few good chats.

On a recent golf trip to Littlestone G C four of us stayed two nights at this B&B. It is tucked away in a quiet back street but very convenient to the golf course and a few local shops. The accommodation is good - a little tied in places but very tidy, neat and clean. It is very reasonably priced relative to some of the other hotels and B&Bs. The family that runs it make you very welcome and their the breakfast is "to die for!"
We would stay there again.

The Broadacre is set in the middle of New Romney, just back from the high street. A few minutes walk takes you two fabulous parks, perfect for basking in the Kent sunshine. Unfortunately, opposite the B&B is a very popular gym, with visitors arriving and leaving till 10pm or so. This also means that access to the front door of the B&B is difficult - cars park right across it, so it's squeezing past room only.

The B&B itself is very 'olde worlde' with rough plaster walls, beams and squeaky floorboards. It's full of character, and very warm & cosy. Check-in and check-out were really easy and friendly. The rooms are up steep stairs - be careful with luggage, small children or if you're unsteady. Note - Room 4 is the best room apparently, with 4 poster bed & big bathroom. The room was very clean, with tea, coffee & water; TV; wireless internet etc. The bathroom was nice, but no shower screen / curtain, and the water pressure was dubious.

Breakfast looked great - a nice menu, though I only had toast & coffee. Evening meal menu was good, and the food was OK. Service was great - very friendly.

Room Tip: Room 4 is the best room apparently, with 4 poster bed & big bathroom. BUT - it does overlook the...

Stayed here for a golf trip, situated very close to Littlestone Golf Club, walk to the beach, in the heart of the small village of Littlestone. Very friendly welcoming owners. In a quiet street just off the main high street. Our room was lovely, a most comfortable bed and all amenities provided. Breakfast was excellent. There is a nice walled garden, and parking. Slightly old-fashioned establishment, but very comfortable and cosy. We had a very good stay here, it was good value for money. The location was very good, we visited Rye, Dungeness and Lydd easily in one afternoon. Hythe is easily accessible. Local restaurants a bit thin on the ground, but very good if you like curry. We would stay again.
