LBV Muri is NOT the same as LBV Avarua -- the Muri operation serves coffees and drinks and some delicious pastries at, by Raro standards, very reasonable prices. It opened relatively recently and occasionally has minor issues one expects with a start up business -- the facility is under ongoing renovation and redecoration and the gardens are being developed.
My wife and I drop in to LBV Muri at least once a week, quite often we will meet friends there and enjoy a cup of coffee and. We are rarely able to resist having one of the delicious snack, sandwiches or pastries . . . . Because Muri has become something of a tourist Mecca in recent years, LBV can be very busy at times, especially Sundays -- so you may have to wait a while for your latte . . . . But we ARE on island time and this is the Cook Islands so those who are clock bound may be frustrated by the wait -- but those of us in island time are content to chat and admire the developing gardens.
The other "branch" of LBV is in Avarua -- they have been in operation for several years so the startup problems are largely worked out. LBVA varua has dinner several nights a week -- probably the BEST we have had in island -- but I will review that on the LBV Avarua page.
For a place to go relax, have a coffee and a delicious snack -- LBV is hard to beat!!
