Beautiful setting right on Muri Beach. Unfortunately the food was really quite bad. Had sashimi entree for NZ$19 thinking I would enjoy some of Raro's seafood. Two tiny bits of salmon, two tony bits of white fish, two small cooked prawns (not sashimi at all) and two oysters (also not sashimi). Oysters were imported from New Zealand.
My partner has blackened fish which she enjoyed, I had scallop and king prawn cannelloni which was extremely poor, with one 'king' prawn inside one cannelloni, and 1 or two scallops in the other one (two total). Also in them was some kind of filler with the texture and flavour of sausages. Not a pleasant dish, not recommended.
For the $35 price tag, I expected more.
Suggest having a drink in the barefoot bar, and heading down to Sails or up to Stefanos for your meal.
