Me and my partner decided to pay a little bit extra compared to some of the island nights to go to Te Vara Nui which we had heard a lot of people talk about and we are so pleased we did! We got a complimentary pick up (and drop off) from our hotel in an old truck which had bench seats and a thatched roof. Was a great experience and way to meet other people attending the island night. When we got to Te Vara Nui it was very well organised and we were taken in small groups to where we would be seated - there were two huts either side of a floating stage on a pond, where the entertainment was. It was a beautiful set up! We thoroughly enjoyed the showed, which tells a story of a chief and his daughter through the dancing. The band was also very good value and the host had us in fits of laughter. The buffet dinner was very comprehensive, including traditional raro food and a fusion of other cuisines, and one of the best feeds we had during our stay in Rarotonga. Would recommend to everyone!
