If you want to do some trails in the Bucegi Mountains, and even a cave, to see wildlife, this hotel is ideally located. Can be reached by car (hard in winter) or train up Busteni city and from there change 2 cable cars (risky because they do not always work because of weather). It is an old hotel that was renovated relatively recently, but the renovation could not change much the better.
Pros: Excellent view, good food, friendly staff, prompt and younger, free sauna, free fitness equipment (only 3), a small pool and Jacuzzi, massage cheap (15 euro / hour), the possibility of hiking trails, close cable that reach the plateau of Bucegi Mountains and from there to other trails, are cleaned almost daily, breakfast is included in room rate and is sufficient; free Wi-Fi internet.
Minuses: The rooms and bathroom are small and old-fashioned, noisy fan in bathroom, no much fun for the young people.
Near the hotel the bears come close daily in the evening when the hotel staffs gives them food. By the cable can be seen sometimes deer.
The price of about 50-60 euro for the double room, relatively big for the Romanian hotels, is justified by the altitude and the position of the hotel in a beautiful and wild area.
Overall the price it’s worth even for the people who love the nature, mountains and fresh air.More
