We have just returned from our stay here. 2 Adults and 5 children.
It had a nice large terrace, and sea view and was only a shortl walk to a few good bars & restaurants.
We were a little disappointed with the villa, as it was very small for 7, let alone 8 + baby as advertised.
It was advertised as newly refurbished, it has had a lick of paint at best.
The jacuzzi bath (main bathroom) had a few cracks in it and the chrome jets and plug were rusting and old, The tiling around it had lifted in areas and grout missing, and a piece of door frame had come off and left under the sink. It just felt grubby.
As for the linen, it was old, thin and well used with small flat pillows and a duvet cover as a top sheet.
Some of furniture was old and broken, drawers in one room were collapsed and unusable. And some outside were old and broken, as well as a broken table propped to one side. The six dining chairs that went with it were just lined against a wall in the living area down the side of the sofa bed?!?! Oh and good luck getting to the sink to wash up, the fridge freezer is in the way so you have to stand off side.
The 3rd bedroom was small with a glass panel door into the small bathroom which has a glass roof. This was like a sauna so the bedroom was unuseable and 2 of my kids slept on the sofa bed in the small living area.
As there was no air-conditioning, we would have slept with the windows open but unfortunately, on arrival, the owner called us and warned us not to sleep with windows open and to lock valuables away at night. This upset us a bit as we suddenly felt unsafe with young children and it was stifling even with the hired fans from reception. Was also told that the sewage had backed up in the small bathroom from previous guests so they had been in cleaning it all up. As you can imagine after a full day travelling and it was late, it was not the sort of thing we wanted to hear.
There is wi-fi available but you have to pay for it.
There was a pool table in the bar below us that bar customers could use, but as far as the games room/ library/table-tennis, there wasnt any of that on site as advertised.
The bar was lovely and the the lady was really nice and helpful, and the pool was great too.
I would not recommend it for wheelchair users at all as Island Village is on a hill and the roads & paths leading up to the apartment/village are steep.
Overall disappointed, the photos must be relatively old, everything is tired looking in reality, window frames needed repainting too.
