Nice crew, clean rooms, good price, service up to date !!! If you intend to climb Mont Fuji, there is a place were you can find good advices for it and have a rest before !!! Try the bikes rental service and take a ride true the city and go a head around the lake. There are many "shirines" to visit and take some pics. Near of good restaurants , supermarket and Karaoke. Just a few blocks far from the railway station.

Room Tip: ask for rooms at 1° floor

Stayed 2 nights as a solo female traveller in a girls dorm. Showers / Toilets communal mixed down hall. Massive kitchen & living areas, indoor laundry, lockers in shared area (bring your own locks or purchase for next to nothing at reception).

7/11 & plenty of restaurants within walking distance, more than safe to walk at night, easy walk to train station also - I got the bus to Fuji Q, and the train back (1 stop).

Hostel does a pick up / drop off at station - just call the number on arrival at station. Note - if you get the bus from Tokyo - you are better of booking in advance - the website doesn't state this, and I had to wait 4 hours with a massive suitcase for the next free bus.

There was travellers of all ages staying at hostel - I think a lot of families book out entire dorm rooms - there was a multi generation Thai family cooking up a delicious smelling meal when I arrived. Except for a quick chat to my roommate, it wasn't a social hostel. There is a bar next door run by the hostel, but couldn't see anyone in there at all when I was there.

My first night the girls staying in my room were rather noisy & left the lights on, but I would've said something if they weren't leaving the next morning. My earplugs & eye mask worked a treat!
Staff were friendly, didn't need them for much except to help me with instructions on a meal I had bought from 7/11!

If I was going back to Fuji, I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I'd go a mixed dorm next time, guys seem to be more considerate than girls in a place where it...

Stayed here for 2 nights in October. Hostel is a little bit of a walk from station but as long as you arrive before 7:30pm you can phone for a pick up this is what we did and we were collected within 10 minutes of making the call, you can also book a transfer back to the station at no extra charge. We booked a Japanese private bathroom room which was great, nice and tidy no problems. They have well equipped kitchen facilities. We aslo booked their day tour around Mt Fuji which was awesome. Easy to find your way around the town several restaurants in walking distance or local supermarket near by if you want to take advantage of the kitchen.

Room Tip: They offer serval different room types we took the most expensive ($60 NZ a night) well worth it sti...

i basically love this hostel. location was quite far from the station, but they provide pick-up service. first impression was a really big building with white-blue color dominating. when we got in, living room was large and spacious. staff during day shift was really nice, but during afternoon shift was not too kind. we booked twin private room, it was large and clean, with shower room inside. the room was tatami style. i really enjoyed my stay there. Wi-Fi was also fast and smooth, but we had to find a perfect spot for the wi-fi because we got the forth floor (yes, no elevator, and they didn't even offer to help us to carry the luggage). kitchen was clean with complete utensils, and there is room for relaxing and meeting other guests. hostel also provides several computers to be used freely. a little negative side only the unhelpful staff.

I had no intention of climbing to the top of Fuji but my brother has and my son would have liked to. We knew the options were limited outside the official climbing season and highly dependant on the weather however Kawaguchiko was the only one of the four "5th station" we could get to on public transport during the week in October. As always so much to see and so little time but I loved our night in this place. The hostel has a "shoes off" at the front door policy which made me feel right at home. The tourist info at the station phoned K's House and we arranged a pick up from the station, it is walkable but easier without luggage. We had a Japanese room with private ensuite which was fabulous, seems to be more space without beds! Great open common areas including several free internet computers and wifi all over the building. We checked out the entrance to the HI/YHA hostel and K's was far superior.

Room Tip: We had 303 on the top floor which could be a problem if you're not good with stairs (no lifts)

We stayed here three nights so that we could see Mt Fuji (which we did the K's House tour - very highly recommended as its a good way to see Fuji from a number of different places which you just wouldnt be able to see unless you have a car).

We also wanted to go to Fuji Q which the hostel were able to set us up with discount tickets which was also really helpful. Just ask for them at the front desk!

One last thing, the room size and whole hostel is actually quite spacious compared with many other hostels in Japan.

I stayed here as a couple for two nights in the private Japanese rooms (without bath) for two people. It's amazingly affordable at 3400 yen per person per night. The rooms and common area are remarkably clean. I'd say the best thing about the stay are the staffs who speak good English and are bubbly as well as helpful.

We enjoyed the day tour that was operated by K's House which cost a mere 4500 yen per person (1000 yen discount for guest of K's House. Originally 5500 yen) Taro, our guide was very informative, accomodating (we had a vegetarian in the group and Taro was kind enough to seek for a vegetarian food) and extremely interesting.

I highly recommend getting on the express Fujikyu Railway to get to Kawaguchiko station (K's House is a short 5 minutes away) When you get to the station, give the helpful K's House staffs a call and they'd pick you up from the station.

To return to the station, K's House has a fixed transportation schedule and guests would have to book spaces accordingly.

I'd say Autumn isn't exactly the best season to go as it may be cloudy and might rain occasionally. Nevertheless, with a little bit of luck, we were lucky enough to be blessed with clear blue skies on the last day of our trip. Thus, we managed to adore the ethereal Mount Fuji from Lake Kawaguchiko. Please do take the cable car which is 10 minutes by bicycle away from K's House. You'll have an amazing view of Mount Fuji from there.

All in all, my compliments to all the K's House staffs and I highly recommend staying here!
