Good hotel, nice staff but hotel itself cant see Fuji Mt so you might disappoint, no other coffee shop or resturant nearby. Must take shuttle bus or taxi to train station. Price is resonable and acceptable
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
We now stayed here for one night with one more to come. The hotel is located on the shore of lake kawaguchi, around 3 or 4 km from the station. A taxi costs 800 to 1000 yen. The hotel doesn't look fancy from outside but it is quite nice from inside. We had a Japanese style tatami room. It is very minimalistic with fridge, a table for tea, a shower, toilet and a shrine.
The hotel offers free wifi and a computer in the lobby, also a game corner. It has mixed and seperate onzens, dining rooms and a tea room. The staff hardly speaks English. Some do - luckily! The breakfast and dinner is included and is very very nice. It's traditional meals with lots of courses including fish, meat, veggies and rice or noodles. Overall the meal is very big and everyone should have enough.
The seperate onzens are hotel-guests only, while mixed one is public. It has an outdoor pool as well as indoor pool, shower and a cold foot bath. Don't forget to adhere to onzen rules :)
Pros: A no-frills hotel, with an excellent view of the Kawaguchi lake just in front of you. Has 3 hot springs for those looking for an out-of-the-world experience.
Cons: Overall, the hotel is fairly old, as aparent from its lobby and decor. Rooms & especially bathrooms were very small. Breakfast options were limited.
