Different ways to sail on the lake (you can also go for a plastic swan boat!!). I went with the Ensoleille ... a bit expensive for the 20 mins sail (900 Yen, a bit less with combination ticket/cable car)

I tried getting information from Internet and the tourism organization. I hope this review will helps. Staying a night in Kawaguchiko is necessary, not because you need more than a day to look around but rather wake up early to grasp a good, clear view of Mount Fuji. There are 5 lakes in total but the bus route in Kawaguchiko only covers Kawaguchiko and Saiko, this means you get to see 2 of the 5 Lakes. I took the highway bus from Yaesu, Tokyo station. Although it takes a longer time about 3 hrs to get to Kawaguchiko, but you get to see one more lake when it passes by.

Upon arrival in Kawaguchiko, I bought 2 day bus passes which is worth it and travel to Lake Saiko. I stopped at the Folk Village, and then the Cave. Actually, the cave is not worth visit. Another cave not on the bus route is much better but you need to walk abit. Do take note of the bus time schedule as it is not regular. I stayed in a onsen hotel which is good as there is nothing much to do after 6pm. Relaxing in onsen is therefore good.

Day 2 Woke up early to see the view of Mt Fuji. If you stay near the Lake, ask the hotel where the location of Mt Fuji. Then you walks to the lake and take picture of the Mt Fuji with the Lake. Then I checked out before 9am to get to the station to have my bag locked in locker. Then catch the bus to Ropeway at Kawaguchiko. It's beautiful to view from the Mt Kachi Kachi, you reach there by cable car cost 700 yen return. Then you use the bus to travel to othe areas at the lake. One thing I have to say is that the recommended photo stops are not true. So when you are in the bus, take note of where the nice pic stops are immediately get off at the next stop, Cos the cloud can anytime block the Mt Fuji views. So trust your instinct then follow the pamphlet.
