“Cool decent place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Spent just a night there, people were really friendly and the place was spotless.

Cool points for:

- Fresh aired rooms, clean
- Interesting decoration and wallpaper
- Comfortable big beds
- Clean and usable bathrooms with bathtub

Not a point against, we could always complain about the same things over and over: price could better, breakfast huge and bla bla bla, but was really happy with the hotel when I left, had a good night sleep, a good bath, etc. Felt refreshed after that night,

Stayed here with my wife while we went to the Remebrance Day service at Ypres. The hotel is perfectly located right in the centre of Bailleul yet it is quiet and has off-road secure parking.
Breakfast was a touch expensive at 10€ each but nonetheless it was worth taking.

The room was clean, tidy, had a decent size TV, bottle of mineral water and a full size bath!

Staff were all friendly and efficient - all in all, well worth staying at.

This is a very good hotel. The hotel is well priced and is in a good location for visiting towns in both France and Belgium. The staff are very helpful. The bedroom was clean and spacious and very comfortable. This was my third visit to the hotel and I would definately stay there again.

Very good hotel, the staff were very friendly. The rooms are extremely well furnished and the bathroom was spacious with all necessary toiletries (soap, shampoo, towels, flannels etc.) provided. I was in the area to meet friends but the hotel is well situated for attractions such as les Monts de Flandres, le Mont des Cats is very near. Also Bailleul itself is a charming town and the hotel is right in the centre. Plenty of free car parking space. Perhaps a bit expensive for a long stay as a tourist but I was there for 2 nights and was perfectly happy with the hotel. There is no restaurant but there are plenty of cafes & restaurants in the town and also a takeaway Friterie which is good value.

Room Tip: My room was away from the road, possibly could be a bit noisy nearer the road but I certainly had no...

We booked to stay in the region for the bank holiday weekend.

The hotel is well priced, very well located with free on site parking in a gorgeous town close to the Belgium border.

The rooms are clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We avoided the breakfast (seemed expensive) and walked up to the local boulangerie every morning for croissants and pain au chocolate.

This hotel had a very attractive entrance from the car park, and an excellent welcome was offered. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and well furnished, with a good sized bathroom. Would return to this very interesting hotel and small town.

I know it's over two years since we stayed in the Belle Hotel but, since no one else has written a review, I thought I would do one.
We stopped in Bailleul for a couple of nights on the way home from a holiday in the south of France. Initially we went to the Hotel du Nord in the main square but, as they had no ensuites at the time, they kindly directed us round the corner to the Hotel Belle. The outside of the building is very attractive, all red brick and typically French. There was a secure gated car park round the back and some lovely flowerbeds which we could see from our room. The room appeared to have just been refurbished and was spotlessly clean and fresh. The bathroom was huge and half of it was taken up with a wet-room type shower system - just fab. Although, at that time, the hotel didn't provide dinner, we ate at the Hotel du Nord where the food was delicious and very reasonable.
Everyone we met in both hotels, and the town itself, was very friendly and helpful and I would certainly go back if we were in the area again. If I remember rightly, the room was about £65 per night - but that could have been euros, not sure.
The town is ideally situated for visiting First World War battlefields and cemeteries, and also has a lot of history itself. I would be interested to hear if anyone has stayed here since our visit and what they thought of it.
I do hope it hasn't changed.
