“Portuguese fort by the seaside!!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

If you want to experience history along with a great view - this is the place to be!! A crumbling fort left by the Portuguese, it has some amazing views of the Arabian sea. The red sandstone, rustic looks & blue backdrop offers amazing photo shootout opportunities to the shutterbugs!!

“Beautiful view from the fort.. Nothing else”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Since its in the vicinity, you'd find lots of tourist visiting this fort. the drive to the fort is good.. one can see the Mandovi river from here.. and get some good pics in the fort..
The view of the Arabian sea from the fort is wonderful as well.. but there is nothing in the fort as such.. go for the views..

“Fort Aguada is a must visit in North Goa”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

The scenic beauty of the sea and the surrounding places visible across the wall of the fort is just awesome. The lighthouse at the fort is still standing there depicting the ancient era. The spot is a photogenic one and you can capture some good moments her. It was too hot in January, 2013 when I visited there, don't know how it is in summer. It is better if you visit the place late after noon. There is no entry fee and open to all. Parking is outside the gate and one needs to walk up to the fort. The chamber throughout the floor of the fort has got so many openings (closed now), if you shout at the opening of one, the person standing at far end can your voice from another opening. The fort is a few kilometers from Panjim ( a few minutes drive). If you are staying at south Goa, it will be a long distance but short from Panjim. We stayed at Colva beach and hired a car for our north Goa trip. We covered the north Goa in 2 days, the first day for the Panjim, Aguada fort, Dona Paula beach and old Goa ( world heritage site) and the other day we ventured around the north Goa beach circuits (all the beaches only).

Aguada fort is a must visit spot apart from other beautiful places and spots.

“Great Fort.... Reminds me of Portugal Times Architecture, which were limited to books & photos only...!!!”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

I had a chance to visit paradise location on India.. viz. Goa Last Year... i.e., Dec-2011... I was really nice holidays there... While travelling I found people very tourist friendly there... also, Goa is very safe during nights... I made my map to travel across goa... I divided it into North then south... in north there are so many historical locations and developed beaches.. apart from this south is new goa and have clam, clean beaches with less population rush... In north you will find so many forts and Aguada fort is one oof them... it is located near sinquerim beach.. a great view of Sea.. cargos etc. from the top of the top of the fort.. a very good place to visit ... great view of medieval india... also, on the way you will find "Cheese n Chrcoal" shop ... the pasta i had there was really great and one of the best I had ever...
