St Veit is an attractive small town with a compact centre, pleasant to walk round. The pedestrianised main square is particularly nice. This hotel is a few yards from that, in a semi-pedestrianised street. Parking is in a multi-storey 5 minutes walk away, for which the hotel provides free access.
The hotel has a pretty late-medieval arcaded courtyard, where it is possible to eat. The food is hearty and unsophisticated - more interesting probably to eat at the Hotel Mosser just around the corner. The rooms mainly open off the first-floor courtyard arcade. Ours was rather gloomy. The air-con was hit-and-miss, and as the weather was warm the alternative was to leave the window open, which produced a mosquito problem.
