Staying at this hotel was an absolute treat to the sore eyes and the people here completely changed our opinion about the hospitality in Turkey. Extremely warm, cheerful and hospitable. lovely food and excellent service. Loved the decor of the hotel and really appreciate the attention given to detail.

Cappadocia is a much visit region and when in Cappadocia, Gamirasu Cave Hotel is the place to stay :)

I would have to follow other trip advisor reviewers for this one; our experience at Gamirasu Cave Hotel, although short, was just amazing. Each room has its own features, and we definitely liked ours. It was very spacious and fully equipped with what can be found in modern hotel suites - incl. comfortable bed, double bathrooms with jacuzzi, wifi, it's like staying in a cave with luxury. We also had a scenic view of the 'caves' in the surrounding area from one of the bathrooms. It is far from the downtown, but you won't have any problem with finding place to eat because their restaurant offers delicious turkish cuisine with price similar to those in town. On the other hand, the location will ensure you that you could rest in tranquility after a full day of excursion in Cappadocia - there are lots to see in this part of Turkey. And in the morning, if you're not going to one of the hot air balloon rides, you can see them rising from the terrace. Another thing that makes it an exceptional hotel is how the manager and the staffs were always kind and ready to help us. This is definitely one of those places we would like to come again in the future.

More than 300 trip advisor reviewers are not Wrong. This is a truly unique hotel with the best staff on either side of the planet. All of the superlatives you have read are true. even tiny details can prove the quality of the hotel and the staff. We came back from a long day of touring and found our towels twisted into the shape of kissing swans and hearts. They all work very hard to learn your name. Each room has remarkable features. It is not downtown, but that is not an issue when you find the right tour guide.

Beyza is a charming young woman with a passion for people. She adjusts each tour to match the interests and physical abilities of her group. She did an amazing job of keeping four older folks, a young couple, and a family with very young children, all happy and eager to continue the tour. Beyza works with Rock Valley Tourism and Travel agency. The combination of one of the best hotels on the planet and a great tour guide made all the difference.

Room Tip: Let the staff at Gamirasu know in advance that it is a romantic stay and they will select the perfec...

We stayed at this really lovely hotel 18-22 April 2012. Arrived after flying from Northern Cyprus via Istanbul to Kaysari. Late flight arrival but transport awaited us for the one hour journey to the hotel located in the village of Ayvali. A really friendly welcome from the lovely Hamide and her staff, a welcome drink and shown to our room for the four night stay, not a cave room but a lovely room located in the old part of the hotel(room 1) very spacious, very clean, fab bed and turkish style decor, including jacuzzi, unfortunately only room for one person!! We were very well looked after by the very attentive staff, nothing too much trouble. We took advantage of the courtesy bus/car to transport us to other villages. Food standard: breakfast, buffet style, plenty of selection and eggs cooked how you like them. We ate in the restaurant every night, a very good standard varied menu and service excellent every night. (we thought the wines were expensive, like most hotels worldwide!). We so enjoyed our stay the, hotel great, very stylish and facinating, cave areas/rooms,the church and the hotel grounds made interesting viewing and so impressive especially when the area was alluminated at night including the unoccupied caves viewed from our room balcony. Great vision by the owner, Ibrahim, who had time to speak to us at dinner one night and gave us his story of converting the caves to this wonderful hotel, many thanks. We enjoyed a lot of the local tourist areas and towns and even had the hot balloon flight with "Royal Balloons", arranged by Hamide, on the Saturday lucky with the weather calm, clear warm and fantastic experience even landing on the basket trailer by the very experienced pilot!! We thank Hamide and ALL the staff for the very warm welcome and stay we were made to feel special and had lots of friendly banter. We would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Cappadocia whether for short or long stay it has to be seen to believe. Last thanks go to Eran of Ankara Travel in Kyrenia/Girne,Cyprus/Kibris for his help.

Room Tip: Book early, if you think cave rooms are not for you, room 1 was an excellent with a balcony. Go ear...

We stayed in this hotel because it is part of the package we bought from our Turkish vacation for girl freinds escape. Of course we checked the hotel from internet before we went. We knew this is a cave hotel and the pictures of the room look nice in the web site. However, we still didn't know what to expect in a cave hotel. When we arrived the hotel after our long traveling from NYC, we were greeted by the very friendly people from the hotel before we were shown to our room. There was 3 of us sharing 1 room expecting a regular room with an extra bed but to our surprise we were given a family suite with a seperate bedroom and 2 bathrooms. You can tell that the owner put a lot of thoughts of decorating the rooms to make you feel like you are not just in a hotel room. It is a room with the culture and history but still give you modern luxury comfort. The bathrooms are spacious with windows of view. The room is comfortable and clean with feel of luxury and unique. What also made our stay special is the people there. They are so friendly and helpful and you can tell it is from their heart. They are very happy that you are their guests not because they are trained to be nice but it is just the way they are. We all enjoyed our conversion with the hotel manager Hamide and she made us understand more about Turkey, the people and the culture. She also showed us the King's room that I hope one day my husband and I will have a chance to stay in our future trip back to Cappadocia. The food in the restaurant is also good. The flat bread is so yummy and they serve it hot. My friends and I still talk about it every time we have bread in the restaurant. I can't say enough how this hotel became our highlight of our Turkish trip.

While most of our family stayed in Oyku Evi next door, my aunt stayed in Gamirasu as there wasn't enough room in Oyku Evi. The staff were exceptionally charming and friendly, and went out of their way to be nice to all of us, and not just my aunt who was the guest. They went so far as to give her a little gift and one to the rest of the family as well!

Her room was a lovely cave room, with innovative lighting, beautiful embroidered bedsheets, and a little cave above the bed.

It was very different from where we were staying, a larger hotel, with more staff and more professional, but very warm and friendly.

We had dinner one night in the restaurant, which was reasonably tasty but quite pricey, prices being in euros rather than lira.

Location is a bit out of the way, but it was charming to live in a village rather than a town. Hats off to a very well-maintained, beautiful property with outstanding staff and service.
