It is an enchanting place. Rooms are nice, nice linens used and very clean. Breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed this special place. It is really difficult to find this hotel. there was a nice staff at hotel, however the guy I found out he is the owner's sun. He was very rough. He wasn't even greating the guests, you would afraid to ask a question. Estimate that, it is annoying if you are staying in a cave hotel which has five rooms and you have to see this person everyday in each meal. Our first night he had a very noisy party which lasted until the morning with his friends, he does not even care about the guests.
other than this hotel was nice.

It was my birthday and I wanted to celebrate it at a mystical place like Oyku Evi. I searched on internet and as soon as I saw the photos, I said "yess, this is where I must go". When I arrived, I was happy to see that everything is as appeared to be on internet. I did not want to go out of the room and just enjoy this special place. I was with my family-including a family member of 11 months old baby. I was a bit sensetive as I had to stay at a place that my baby would feel comfortable and I should be able to make her food although I dont have any catering, ingredients, this and that. Also, the heat is the most important thing for my baby...but everything was wonderful and I realized there is nothing to be worried about. Yes, Oyku evi requires you to have a car but this is what makes there special. easliy accessble places are always consumed and get dirty. the hotel is in a village where you can hear the sounds of cocks in the morning, where there is not big malls, where there are not crowded and noisy people. I am a lecturer and I will definitely go there again to get inspirations from the caves, mystical landscape and the owner of the hotel who is an author...Definitely, you should go there to stay!

Room Tip: Each one is special but I can recommend the yellow room.

Oyku Evi (House of Stories) is a bit difficult to travel from if you don't have a vehicle, but is a lovely little cave hotel. There are 5 very spacious rooms, each decorated in an individual style and named after a colour. We were an extended family group and so our group occupied the whole hotel, which made it feel like our own private house in wonderful Cappadocia. There is a little duckpond with some ducks and geese, a balcony to sit out, and rooms on different levels. Absolutely a delight.

We celebrated my mother's sixtieth birthday and the hotel prepared a wonderful dinner for us (we had to give some advance notice) - one of the best meals we ate in Turkey. Almost all our Turkish breakfasts (over 10 days) were good, but this was by far the best breakfast we had in Turkey! The fruit preserves, the sesame helva, the omlette to order - wonderful!

The staff don't speak much English, but the cook allowed me come into the kitchen and I was able to explain to her using sign language how to make fried eggs. Dogus was very friendly and helpful, and we managed communication fine using Google translate. Of course, our guide Sevil made communication easy too.

Our room Mavi (Blue) - was really nice - only thing is that the bathroom - between two bedrooms closes only from one side, which may get weird if you are traveling in a group.

Overall - feels like you are staying in a house not a hotel, with beautiful embroidered bedsheets, individually done up rooms with cute little knick-knacks, excellent service and great food.

Last month I went to Öykü Evi with my friends. The hotel was so impressive and snug that actually you could create your own story in this place. The spirit of the cave room was fascinating. I think the important issue was "hospitality". The owners of the hotel related to us so much. It was an unforgetable holiday.
Thank you Cave Hotel and its staff.

I went with my friends to Oyku Evi last August for 4 days..Everything was wonderful... Especially the hospitality. The room's ambiance was superb. If you want to go somewhere for just relaxing Oyku Evi is number one !!! Just take your books & sport shoes and enjoy to the natural beauty. From this hotel you can see the caves nearby, and at night it is a great view. The hotel arranges the balloon flights over the area. I recommend this place.

Great place to spend a new years eve, or probably any other special occasion. Hospitality distinguishes the place, you feel like family or friends rather than customer. They accept pets as well, not usual for the area!

Traditional, can find fresh fish basically any time.

Definetly a must see.
