“Yum!”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

A lovely restaurant looking over the bustle below. Booking may be required but we were lucky enough to get a table with only a couple of minutes wait. We ate here 3 times in our one week stay because we wanted to try some of the other inviting dishes: international with a Greek twist.

“Lovely food”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Very nice place upstairs with great view to the bay and away from the noise of the street. Food and service was excellent. Highly recommended.

“SIMPLY DELICIOUS”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Returning for holidays on Sifnos again this year, I ended up eating at the Absinthe almost every night. While this lovely restaurant has become quiet popular,I found that they kept their quality and reasonable prices. I tasted all the clay pot dishes with mountain herbs and especially liked the chicken with the country sausage and the oven rice. Highly recommended!!!

“Delightful surprise”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

It was a delight to return to Sifnos after five years, chasing memories of the rustic charm and the quiet pace of life that have set this island apart in trips past. We were pleasantly surprised to find a significant addition to the already long list of reasons to visit Sifnos. Absinthe Restaurant. Located in the port of Kamares with a commanding view of the Mediterranean, the port and the surrounding mountains, Absinthe's locale is ideal. The menu was equal to the task providing a culinary delight that fused the best of Greece and Asia Minor. We found ourselves there four times during our six day visit and looking back, I wish it was it was more.

“Greek & Asian fusion! Super tasty!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We have been there on the first night out in Sifnos due to tripadvisors recommendations!

Not a mistake going there at all! Very friendly owner an very romtic venue. On the main road perpendicular up opposite of the old captains bar at the beach.

The starter Tzatziki was a dream, combined with the speciality of the house: meatballs. Sounds basic and easy ... It is not! Fabulous!!!

Main dishes was a chicken curry. Which was fantastic. Truely a fusion. The black onion seeds combined with chicken and curry. Fantastic! Only the rice could be flavoured w/o the seeds I thought. My partner loved it as it was.

I had a traditional Kebap with yoghourt sauce and pita ans tomatos. I love the tomatos on the cyclades. Thumbs up. The kebap was fantastic from its taste. A bit more on the "well done" side but very good!

All in all very good!!!
