We stayed here for three nights during a walking holiday in Antrim and Donegal. Loved the view of Cushendun and the bay. Margaret was a very nice host, and the breakfasts were great. Lots to see and do nearby. Nice old-fashioned room too. And the wi-fi was fast and free. Highly recommended.

My family were fortunate to stay at the Villa Farmhouse in May 2014. Our host Ms Margaret Scally was superb and treated us to a beautiful breakfast every morning. The scrambled eggs were divine. But the above all, the views of Cushendun from the house were simply breath taking. It was soul refreshing to see such a pristine part of the earth. Will definitely come back again as we ran out of time for the scenery-carrick a reed rope bridge.

Thanks Margaret,
Desmond +family :)

This hotel is a gem! Good rates, friendly owners, supreme views down to the town and sea beyond. Isolated on a hill about a mile from cushenden. Surrounded by fields full of sheep its a beautiful location. Nice walks nearby to ruins, viaducts and scenic river. Perfect base to explore the rugged coastline and the glens.

Very nice b&b with a delicious breakfast. The view is amazing and the lady that runs the b&b is very friendly. It is a good location to explore the causeway coast. I would definately stay there again!

My two sisters and I stayed one night in this lovely old family home which was surrounded by love and care. Maggie, the owner, was most welcoming and extremely knowledgeable of the area, the culture and history. She is an excellent cook and was most obliging in every way. Breakfast was first class and there was tea/coffee and a large jar of delicious biscuits and shortbread in every room The scenery and setting are truly magnificent; heavenly peace and quiet come dropping slow!
Do put the Villa Farmhouse on your itinerary for a more relaxing experience transported back in time! Perfect for families, couples and people who appreciate personal service, genuine and sincere hospitality, magnificent scenery and setting, and a wonderful time to renew body and spirit! We will go back for longer visit next time and will order home cooked dinners in the evening; why go out when you have a resident cook like Maggie!! The Vila Farmhouse --a special gem, indeed!

Room Tip: We had a front sea view room as well as a garden view room; all rooms are quiet and comfortable. Go...

What a truly magnificent setting and view greeted us at the Villa Farmhouse. It is an older style property but very, very nice in a formal sort of a way. Maggle is a welcoming, interesting, and gracious host and her extra touches show the care that goes into this B&B. Homemade marmalade, water provided with coffee for those who don't like it too strong, current magazines in the rooms, fresh flowers, etc, etc. Unfortunately there are not a lot of dining options in Cushendun so a decent dinner involves a bit of a drive, but Maggie's suggestions were helpful and insightful. Although a long way from Australia we would certainly stay at Villa Farmhouse again and recommend it to those looking for a beautiful view, quiet setting, and a superb breakfast. Well done Maggie.
