Hotel Sea Hawk is a very nice place to stay with a lovely garden where one can relax and enjoy the wonderful sea breeze in peace and tranquility. For the nature lovers once can walk along the shore reaching up to the "mohona" where you can find lots of different fishes caught by the fishing trawlers.

Located at the old Digha the hotel offer the access of both, the shopping centers and the walk along the sea. The food and the lodging are at reasonable rate. It has its own car parking area with security personnel. Although there are A/C suite, opeing the glass window will give awesome sea breeze that one might enjoy while having a cup of coffee/ tea or drinks.

Just 5 hours drive from Kolkata one can take a break for daily work and pamper 2/3 days with laziness, food and drinks and spend time in serendipity.

Room Tip: Please try to book the sea facing room with the balcony on 2nd / 3rd floor ...

A bitter experience was refreshed by our two night stay in Sea Hawk Hotel, in Sea facing room number 274. The bitterness was created by our misguided lodging at a Hotel (Hotel Amrita) in New Digha. A word of caution while traveling to Digha, please read the 'tripadvisor' review before planning a trip and never believe the touts. The Sea facing rooms of Hotel Sea Hawk provides the ultimate in watching the Sea in all its moods. It comes with added advantage of two beaches right in front of the balcony. A 'fish addict' can have all varieties from the Hotel Restaurant. But a word of advice---if you want a vehicle for local sight seeing (although not much to see) arrange the vehicle from local taxi stand and not through the Hotel. At Digha do not forget to visit 'Mohana" fishing cluster. A rickshaw ride early in the morning and having a breakfast there is quite an experience.

Last week I went to Digha with my family and had a lovely experience at Hotel Sea Hawk. The hotel is very near to the sea beach and offered a lovely sea view from the window itself. But the entrance & the staircase of the hotel (building having sea facing rooms) should be more lighted and cleaned.

i had read reviews of this site and selected this hotel.ill make the review short and sweet
advantages
1)some rooms have sea facing views but you must be specific on what you want @ booking office
2)the sea shore is just on the other side of the boundary wall
3)service is more or less ok eg food from restaurant will reach you in 30 minutes
4)have a good car service---ask for goutam..latest charge (talsari,madarmoni,tajpur,sankarpur,chandaneshwar temple,udaipur) non a/c alto 1300/- (+tips) a/c is 1700.we didnt need the a/c and it was very comfortable.journey is best from 6am to 10am..then again 3pm to 7 pm.driver is very competent (name pintu)
5)the have invested a bit into gardens..so looks quite nice

now the disadvantages
1)waiters ask for tips for every visit to the room and will HOUND you for tips.
2)food seriously overpriced.
3)i found the crowd a bid rowdy with drunken shouts in the night..the hotel did nothing about it in my knowledge
4)no lift
5)room was ok..but water jug broken..tv remote back cover broken,a/c remote didnt work too well i suspect, tv too small, averagely maintained room..i suspect cheaper rooms are not clean at all (took a quick look at an empty room)

The rooms are huge, unplanned - a double bed room may have 3 sets of double beds scattered. Its clean but the furniture and fittings date back to the 19th century. Very conveniently located on the beach. The staff are willing to accommodate your wishes and demands. Food is very homely. Ideal place for a large group with varied demands.

it is really a nice place to stay in digha. the compound wall of the hotel and sea are just separarted by narrow road. From balcony only, u can enjoy the roaring sea view day and night.. we stayed in the suite with three rooms(total Rs 2,560 inc taxes). very spacious, airy and economical. But the firnitures were of old days, the sofa , the wardrobe everything.. the quality of food in their restaurant was ok but again asking for tip every time sometimes annoyed us. The view and sound of bay of bengal from the balcony was mind blowing specially in the night hours and early morning hours. The gate facing the sea is open from 6am to 6pm every day. It is near to the Rly station and to the main market. Overall, it was a memorable experience and i will strongly suggest this hotel for those who wants to enjoy sea each and every moment of their stay.

Room Tip: always ask for sea facing room, possibly in1 floor

The hotel Sea Hawk gives you excellent sea facing rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean and large window with sliding tinted glass that gives you excellent view of sea as well as protection from the sun.
The hotel has beautiful lawns and seems to have invested quite a lot on landscaping. Surprising;y all that are somehow negated by disposing hotel garbages like tiles, pot & other ceramics etc. The corridor is again stuffed with old sofa and bed which does not speak well for a big hotel.
The terrace is again lovely but used by the guests for drying cloths to which the hotel authorities turn blind eye.
The hotel staff throng around you at every opportunity for tips which sometimes doesn't look decent.
If you can overlook these things and concentrate on sea and enjoyment, then go for it.
Food is OK.
Sea beach is very near, which is an advantage.
