Visited this place as part of last bachelor trip with my college group. Though the location of the camp was not as expected, it is just hill facing and no ice caped mountains directly visible from the camp. But the activities available at the camp were really awesome. They have volleyball/basketball court, archery, rappelling, rock climbing etc facilities available. If in a group, you can really have a wonderful time. Food was good and staff is very polite and well behaved.

- Perched on the Mukteshwar ridge in an apple orchard is Camp Purple, a name inspired by the ever changing colour of the sky at sunset. This sleepy Himalayan town with some of the best snow peaks views is a walkers dream strewn with meadows, jungles and temples. Located at one the highest ridges of central Himalayas (7,200 feet), 55kms from Nainital, 313 kms from Delhi. The ridge stands formidably out into a sea of mountains from where everything is falling around. The horizon is also below you with wide open skies cluttered with stars. Every season brings surprises. With the blossoming orchards in spring, to succulent peaches apricots and plums in summer. From the magical sunsets of monsoons in techno colour clouds to yellows and browns of autumn to the burning red on the endless Himalayan snow covered peaks in winter.
