The resort is very good with good clean rooms, prompt service, good location and helpful staff. Mukteshwar itself is a great location - very quiet and cool, even in the summer peak season. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend the resort to anyone who is planning a hill station tour in Kumaun region

Mountain Trail is indeed a many splendoured resort. The resort offers unimaginable calmness, warmth and courtesy, scenic beauty of the Himalayas, blooming flowers, fresh breeze to relax and enjoy and be with nature. It is definately The Place to go to if you want to enliven your senses.

Its good value for money. Courteous, hygienic & comfortable stay. Most of of all loved the best CHOCOLATES in the world. Special mention is the choco fudge. The yearning continues for a re-visit. Good restaurant buffet food too.

Room Tip: 1-6 are the best roooms

We were a family of 2 adults and 3 kids and had hence booked 2 inter-connecting rooms. They were located near the restaurant, entrance as well had an excellent view of the garden and the bird feeding house , a boon in these hills where u have to climb so many ups and downs.
There are water scarcity boards everywhere in the bathroom.....no fans in the rooms......
u really dont need them.....we opted for a room heater instead in May !!! It was so chilly darlings !! Its an ideal spot if want to just laze around and do nothing. And even if u do want to do a thing , then just proceed to Mukteshwar{ 8-10 kms away} and have a wonderful walk in the forest preserved by I.V.R.I, a climb to the temple or some adventure activities on the backside of the temple, conducted by wildrift adventurers. Overall a good change from the routine hill stations ..except that the drive is a bit streneous. Hotel is clean with good food and service...They also have a chocolate factory and we had loads of chocolates.....better mind those calories.
