One of the 108 Divya Desams, this is a temple of religious importance to Vaishnava Brahmins of the Hindu faith. The magnificence of the deity and the temple ... an amazing experience.

An ancient temple for Sriman Narayana as Sri Sthala Sayana perumal , the Lord is berift of Sri Adisesha , the floor is his resting place , bhattar here beautifully recites pasuram from prabandam while performing arati , Thayar is also beautiful. Sri Varahaswami temple at thiruvidandai is also close by . There is an ancient rock cut temple for Sri Varahaswami apart from this temple .

This is one of the 108 DivyaDeshams. We had visited this temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu during our sightseeing in Mahabalipuram. This temple is located right in front of the complex maintained by Archeological Survey of India which hosts Arjuna Penance, Krishna Mandap etc. We entered from backside and found that front section of the temple was undergoing restoration. We liked the beautiful idol of Lord Vishnu in sleeping posture  here.
