“Avoid this one”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

It's difficult to review this place as there at least two of the same name (brothers we were told) but the photo fits so here goes.
The waiter was rude and the service was poor. He only wanted to sell us expensive fish of the day (yesterday probably) and when we both said we just wanted something simple like noodles we were treated with rudeness and disdain - so much so that after a couple of minutes I thought "no, I'm not going to have this", and walked over to him (he would not come to me) and told him to cancel the order - we would drink our beers and leave. "Why?" he asked. I explained how rude he had been and how unpleasant. He shrugged - no apology...Just avoid the place.

“A lively and friendly place”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

An excellent butter masala prawns and coconut rice, and a fish curry, in a very clean and friendly place. The staff were charming and the food excellent value for money. Recommended.

“OK food - high prices”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

We ate there because it was highly recommended in the Lonely Planet book.
For a plate of 4 jumbo prawns and one medium size fish with rice on the side and one beer they asked for 2000R (!). After some bargaining we paid 1400R and still feel cheated.
The food was edible but not more than that and the portions were very small.
Seems like all the tourists go there because of the recommendation and they take advantage of it.

“Excellent!”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

The restaurant was a little shabby, but nonetheless the service and the food was excellent. The waiter brought out these freshly caught fish and prawns, and he was telling us what they would be cooked in. We had one butter and garlic fish, and the other one tandoori, and also the same with the prawns. The smell when they came, and the taste was absolutely delicious. They also brought out a huge bowl of rice and a plate of chips. Not forgetting the calamari to start which was absolutely delicious. Out of our whole India trip, this was probably one of the nicest places we ate at!
