I stayed at Hotel Meridian-ERODE,on 20/06/2012/21/06/2012.Hospitality of the staff was good. But the management should think of real expectations of guests.
Normally guests who stay at hotels by paying rent are entitled for 24 hours A/C and Hot water and it should be available without asking. Keeping control at the reception and making guests to call every time these are needed is not professional management.Such control may be exercised when some thing is provided free of cost.
This rule should be applicable to all lodges and Ministers of tourism development of respective states are the best authority to decide as to whether our expectations are fair or unfair.
Room rent should be inclusive of everything like free water, news paper, breakfast, dinner, daily needs like tooth paste, shaving materials, soap, towel mosquito repellents etc by which tourists need not carry these items and reduce luggage weight.They get attracted and prefer to stay at such lodges which provide these facilities particularly when they get reimbursement from their companies.(Eg-Park Plaza, Cehnnai and Madhurai)
In my opinion, tourism development has got a long way to rope in to reach the expectations of tourists.Even an ordinary person with limited resource must be able to travel through India and enjoy comforts.
