Owner description: The pride of Rajsamand District, "Haldighati" in known across the globe for the chivalrous deeds of the great Maharana Pratap. 44 kilometers from Udaipur and 17 kilometers from Nathdwara it is nestled in the middle of the Aravali range. This narrow turmeric coloured mountainous region which played a stellar role in defending the honour of Mewar dynasty, is known as Haldighati.

HALDIGHATI -THE RAKHT TALAI is the famous venue where the Indian History’s most disastrous war had been fought between the Royal Soldiers of Akbar & Maharana Pratap.

The HALDIGHATI name has come by the fact that the soil of that region is still like haldi( a spice with yellow colour) after four centuries of the war.

THE HALDIGHATI war had been fought on June 18 ,1579. There was Blood & Blood all over the Ghati & that day even the god had not been able to stop his tears in the form of Rain. .There was huge Rain on that day , that’s the reason even on today the haldi colour is still mix with the soil deep in the land.

All these Knowledge I acquired during my visit to the place. The place has been now developed by the local government & a museum has been built to express the glory of that place. The museum has various collection of that war which symbolizes that great disastor of human beings., even the demo of war is been also expressed with a great art work.

Now a days this place is a great attraction for Visitors & Travellers to explore the glory of Maharana Pratap as well as his soldiers who accompany their Rana throughout their lives. .

Aproxx . 5.00 lakh Visitors & Travellers had visited the place through out the year,it is well connected with the road from Udaipur & Nathdwara. It is located 37 km South to Nathdwara.Nearest Airport is in Dabok .Udaipur.

One thing I used to share with you also, that this place is also very famous for Chetak (The horse of Maharana Pratap). The Horse is a true admirer of his Master Rana Pratap. An incident is remind always regarding it’s sacrifice for his master. The horse had run down from the war place & jumped over a thirty feet long nala with the wounded master on his back without taking care of his life. The horse lost his life after crossing that nala. A huge momento has been built to remind the sacrifice of the horse which is also a treat to watch.

Now tha last but an exclusive attraction is tha rose farming. The soil & the climate in Haldighati is very much suitable for Rose Farming. Even Now a days the place is also famous for its Roses.

The Exclusive Chaitri Rose is the Main attraction of this place. This Rose is Framed in the Month of march only (Hindu Month Chaitra) that’s the reason it is called chaitri Rose

All this experienced fascinated me throughout my life & I wish to come several times to explore glory of the Indian History
