The architecture, the paintings, the Indian dishes.. everything suited perfectly for our two nights in this little village. We also were invited to the wedding of one of the owner's son: free food, music and dancing show! Had an amazing experience!

Room Tip: the rooms in the upper floor are beautiful, illuminated and big!

Bad standard in the rooms. Dirty bed covers with nasty stains.

Really cold in the winter and personal failed to provide a fully working heater.

Loud music from street and bad breakfast.

Not such a nice stay.

Oh and the bonus: directely under the dirty showerhead is a power plug... So so so dangerous.. Warter meets eletricity when you shower and...done... I've uploaded photo of it as proof!

Super hotel situated in a quiet village and just what the doctor ordered. Having just spent a night in the desert and followed by another in foggy Bikaneer, Mandawa is a good place to end up and recharge the batteries before tackling an overnight train to Varanasi. Hotel is clean and beautifully decorated with friendly staff. At present kite festival is on so many shops closed and lots of music as eevrywhere people are flying kites.

Room Tip: ask for an upstairs room.

Upon arrival we were excited as the exterior was stunning, beautifully decorated haveli, and still undergoing renovations, by way of the artists painting the walls with decorative images. Great to watch. Beyond that the rooms were musty, freezing, dirty and simply neglected.
I never felt clean here, and also did not shower in the 2 days as was so put off by the bathroom. We stayed in a suite the first night at then front, whilst a huge room, it was impossible to feel any warmth. Second night in a smaller room, and just as cold and dirty.
Staff were not helpful, and were slow to serve drinks and meals.
Took an hour to get a roll of toilet paper.
Last night we were locked in our room from the outside, not a pleasant experience and extremely unsafe. Will not return.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel
