We stayed here for a night, with friends, on our way to Bikaner (from Delhi). The hotel is an absolute gem - a testament to the owners vision/passion in creating the place. We came with high expectations (having read the TripAdvisor reviews), but it still managed to delight us.
+ Amazing attention to detail - combining modern conveniences while preserving the exquisite haveli that has been restored painstakingly
+ Unlike a lot of heritage properties, the rooms while retaining its 'old-worldly' charms did not stint on modern conveniences - a high quality spring mattress, great linens, a proper 5 star quality bathroom - great shower with high pressure hot water...
+ Food across meals was very good quality; with the high quality local Rajasthani fare
+ Good coffee
+ Nice sleepy village - we had a good early morning stroll and met an interesting family running a little grocery store around the corner from the hotel.
- The only negative was the 'traditional entertainment' in the evening - music and puppet show - it was so bad, that it was funny ...:-)
We look forward to being back soon.More
