“Mandawa Vivaana Hideaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

After a long drive from Pushka we were greeted and welcomed by a drum roll and trumpet player along with cool towels and refreshments, Thank you. Vivaan ia a well presented comfortable, clean hotel, modernwell appointed rooms and the organic kitchen is a delight, it is situated in a village called Churi Ajitgarh in a quiet location out of Mandawa. The pool and Day Spa are excellent and the therapist provides wonderful Ayurvedic treatments with great skills. Lots of hideaway areas to discover and find quiet respite and a great rooftop to watch the sun set!

Amazing Place...Quiet & Isolated, away from hustle bustle of big cities. It's a complete package for those who wants to bask in Rajasthani tradition & culture. Fresco & Pool at the hotel are outstanding. Organic Kitchen also deserves a round of applause. Full value for money :)

Had an amazing experience staying at Vivaana. It indeed is a ‘culture’ hotel in terms of its ambience, food and comfort! The bar and the pool at the hotel outstand the rest. It’s a juxtaposition of the past and the present.Centrally located, very clean and a friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable hotel in a great location with great service and a serene environment.

We were planning a weekend trip out of Delhi from 19th April 2013 to 21st April 2013 to place we had not visited and which was about 5 hours driving time. Based on recommendations at Tripadvisor my wife and younger son located this wonderful restored Haveli at a place called ChuriAjitgarh, Mandava in JhunJhunu District. I had spent 5 years at BITS Pilani and yet had never heard of this place. A 6 hour 280 kms drive from Faridabad via Gurgaon-Rewari-Narnaul-Singhana-Churu-Jhunjhunu-Mukandgarh led five of us to this unexplored gem in the midst of a village called Churi Ajitgarh! The look of shock on my daughter-in-law's face on seeing the facade and the raw verandah while we checked-in was transformed on seeing the rooms, which seemed to pop out of history itself! The summer heat of Rajasthan not withstanding, the restoration of the twin Havelis of Nemani family by the owners is worth seeing. Even though Vivaana is facing its first Summer season after opening last year, they had about 10 out of 23 rooms occupied. The food was good and the place adorable! The staff were very helpful and the Spa invigourating. Though the management can add some colour to the walls of all the rooms, beware of the water dripping on to the bed below the toilet tub in rooms 103 & 106 and hope they have fixed the AC in 103! They should liaise with the trust that manages the Nemani Haveli outside so that visitors can have a glimpse of the famous Frescos inside! The Fresco gallery at Vivaana is indeed a treat, the pool is welcome to Beat the summer Heat and the lounge comfortable, though its bar was not operational. For those who miss a TV in their rooms, it could be disappointing!

I was looking forward to staying here and wasn't disappointed. Peaceful and relaxing is the only way to describe a stay at Vivaana. Check in was quick and easy, then the room was stunning and beautifully appointed with great beds, fittings and a modern bathroom. This whole place feels like you have gone back to the glory days of the Silk Road, an amazing restoration. The food cannot be faulted. The village is nice and quiet however expect to be woken early by either the call to prayer or the peacocks. Both started at about 5:00am but after a great nights sleep that didn't matter, so much better than an alarm clock. This is one place I would definitely come back to but for more than one night, there is so much to see and do.

Room Tip: I don't think there any bad rooms, you would need to be very picky to find anything wrong with t...

Dear Mungo,

Reading your wonderful review was a sheer delight. It makes us really happy to know that you found your one night stay insufficient to explore and rejoice the Vivaana experience. Peacocks singing in the morning are always our added USP and we are glad that you related with them as well.
Would love to welcome you back soon!!!

A original Haweli of yester years converted in its original form with beautiful walls, ceilings , old traditional doors , gives u a feeling of being a maharajah or part of the maharajahs team living in a palatial house . The gallery showing 'then and now" says it all , a must walk . Atul and Devna Khanna need an applause for what they have created for us .
