I was looking forward to staying here and wasn't disappointed. Peaceful and relaxing is the only way to describe a stay at Vivaana. Check in was quick and easy, then the room was stunning and beautifully appointed with great beds, fittings and a modern bathroom. This whole place feels like you have gone back to the glory days of the Silk Road, an amazing restoration. The food cannot be faulted. The village is nice and quiet however expect to be woken early by either the call to prayer or the peacocks. Both started at about 5:00am but after a great nights sleep that didn't matter, so much better than an alarm clock. This is one place I would definitely come back to but for more than one night, there is so much to see and do.

Room Tip: I don't think there any bad rooms, you would need to be very picky to find anything wrong with t...

Dear Mungo,

Reading your wonderful review was a sheer delight. It makes us really happy to know that you found your one night stay insufficient to explore and rejoice the Vivaana experience. Peacocks singing in the morning are always our added USP and we are glad that you related with them as well.
Would love to welcome you back soon!!!

Best Regards,
Neha

A original Haweli of yester years converted in its original form with beautiful walls, ceilings , old traditional doors , gives u a feeling of being a maharajah or part of the maharajahs team living in a palatial house . The gallery showing 'then and now" says it all , a must walk . Atul and Devna Khanna need an applause for what they have created for us .

This haveli turned hotel in magnificient. It surpassed my expectations in both service and quality of food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the property is beautiful and its an ideal setting away from the city life. I was there with my family last week and everyone enjoyed the shows they arranged, food and the hospitaility. The spa is just ok, pool area is excellent and nice little games room.

Room Tip: Choose the ones with balcony facing the lawn...the best rooms in the hotel.

We visited Hotel Vivaana, Mandawa in mid March and it was an awesome experience for the entire family. This is one of the best and must see destinations on a trip to Rajasthan. The ambience of the place ties up completely with the culture and vivacity,Rajasthan is known for. This Haveli turned into a stunning resort has been renovated and intelligently restored to maintain the old aesthetics appeal. The elegantly designed rooms provide great comfort and the beautiful paintings add to the entire decor of the place. The food was fantastic with Rajasthani cuisine on the 2nd day of our trip. The puppet show, camel rides and the colourful lanterns made it a memorable trip for the kids.We thank the hotel and the staff for their great hospitality. All the advantages people mentioned before are there. I don't know if this place is the best in Mandawa, because I didn't try all of them, but this one is really a good surprise. We stayed there in Feb 2013 and enjoyed every moment. The renovated building is something we can not forget, the room was wonderful, and so was the restaurant and the staff.
One thing the manager should pay atention: we traveled a whole month in Rajastan with a car and driver, stayed in 14 hotels, and in every one of them our driver got a proper place to spent the night. The only place our driver complained about was in Vivaana. Please pay attention also to this issue.
I mentioned the location as "poor" because the village is poor and there is nothing to do outside of the hotel, even the road to the hotel is only dust and mud, no asphalt

It has very nice rooms with fluffy beds. And the bathrooms were very refreshing and this haveli is better maintained than the Mandawa palace. The paintings and architecture is still the same and beautiful like the old times. We can light up hot air balloon lanterns and make them fly. The walk through of this place shows us the ways in which this place has changed. The swimming pool is also very nice. There is a puppet show sometimes in the main garden area at night and a song by Rajasthani woman and man. The food is wonderful at this place and at night a buffet is laid outside.

Thick, fluffy towels, a refreshing shower, a comfortable bed in a charming room, efficient service and wholesome food were just a few of the things we experienced at this gem of a place, Vivaana.

Recommended by 'Devna' Homestay in New Delhi, (excellent), Vivaana is a beautiful, tastefully and sympathetically restored Haveli where the owners have taken the upmost care care to create this fairy-tale place.

Around each corner is a visual delight, the atmosphere is calm and serene and you feel relaxed and far, far away from the hustle and bustle of Rajasthan.

It is very special.
