Last minute reservation for dining on wednesday. Respectful space between the tables makes this place a perfect restaurant for romantic evenings. We ordered the full size menu "De Tuinkamer" and we didn't regret it, despite the price. It would be impossible to list everything keeping in mind that we have been served 8 (!) exquise, top level appetizers before the official menu got started. In the kitchen they manage to create dishes with special ingredients and tastes never heard of but also more classical dishes that you will never forget ( like the combination of lobster and chicken that may sound odd but that tasted so well balanced ). First impression is that the wine-package doesn't come cheap either but once you realise you will get 7 different wines of all around the world varying from an hungarian Tokay at the starter to the desert wine at the end you feel this was an honestly priced and must-have package. There is only 1 point that almost forced me to intervene : the speed. In many restaurants much too slow, in this Michelin star-restaurant too fast. I'm sure De Tuinkamer may be ready for a second Michelin-star. At that level, even more details become important which will force the restaurant to do something about the worn-out armrests of its seats.
