Beautiful setting, with great views to the sea. Lovely garden for pre dinner drinks. Food was pretty good, but the hotel itself looks tired, and the service was slow. We had a good sized bedroom, but having ben spoilt by standards provided by other Logis de France on this trip, I felt a little let down with this place. One night was fine!

Room Tip: Bedroom was a good size. Lovely gardens for early evening drinks.

We stayed for 3 nights this June. Our room , which had recently been refurbished was delightful and very well done. The view from the two balconies over the garden and sea was very pleasant. A really good viewpoint for sunset. The food , drink and service was very good and nothing was too much trouble. This is the second time we have stayed at The Bellevue and would certainly return. On arriving home I realised that I had stupidly left two shirts and two pullovers in our room. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful in posting them to me in the UK , they have now arrived safely.

Having found this hotel last year, we booked again. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive & helpful. Our room, with balcony, was spotless although quirky with the bathroom open to the bedroom/sitting area (not the wc though!).
Our only problem was the number of dogs staying and on one evening there were four in the dining room, they are also allowed in the bedrooms. For anyone who is allergic to dogs or doesn't want to share the dining room with them it's worth pointing out. To his credit, having mention to the manager I was allergic to dogs, he made sure I was seated well away from them. The 'pet' friendly image is not clear on the hotel website & may be problem for some. Would have been 5* if it weren't for the dogs!

Always a pleasure to return to Le Bellevue. Views from restaurant, rooms and garden are a special treat for the eyes. Made consistently very welcome, all are helpful and attentive. Food is very good. We love the location with a round walk from the hotel to the sea, the village and back. Near to Trouville, Deauville, Honfleur and in easy reach of the beautiful Normandy.

Room Tip: We prefer the rooms in hotel itself, although all are comfortable. We bring our kettle, mugs and tea!

We had a seaview junior suite during our stay. The space and furnishings were lovely, however, be aware that the bathroom is not private with no dividing wall between it and the main bedroom, which is a pain if one of you wants to sleep and the other wants a bath. Naturally, the toilet IS enclosed but this is situated in the lounge area and the acoustics are pretty good, if you follow my drift...
The hotel itself boasts an excellent restaurant but it's all formal dining so if you hanker for just a snack, you will have to look elsewhere. The beach is a 10 minute walk away down a very steep road. It's fine getting down there but coming back is a challenge - especially if you've taken deckchairs with you.
The reception desk is hilarious - it appears to be pot-luck whether someone is there to serve you or not. On two occasions we waited 5 minutes for our room key and then, when the place was still deserted, we just walked in and took the key ourselves - no one seemed to notice or to care, but it seems a little less than secure!
The staff are all friendly, and some speak English, but prefer it if you engage them in French.
Not sure if we will be back because of the bathroom arrangements, but would otherwise recommend it heartily.

Room Tip: Get a sea view
