We found the facilities and location very picturesque, with plenty to do and see. Mini golf was poor compared to most, and very confusing, not well surfaced or designed, but I guess the point was to learn about the area at the same time. Pool was very small, but that's not the reason most people come here. Staff were pleasant and helpful, food nice if a tad pricey (ditto parking). But it was clean and comfortable inside.Overall it's the location and walks, play areas that edge it to 4 stars rather than 3. Not sure older kids enjoyed being severed from their mobile receptions for long periods, but to me that's a plus. Ferry ride was ok, but would have been nice to have been taken further up the lake, and perhaps have a chance to stop up there near the castle and walk/cycle back.
