“Comfortable, relaxing break.”
Reviewed July 2, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Booked for a few days break with grandchildren. Change of plan meant it was just my husband and me. The cottage has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable. Lovely quiet setting with plenty of space for children to explore and play. The area has a lot to offer and we enjoyed exploring the forest. We will return with the grandchildren in the future.

“Great cottages”
Reviewed April 6, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

You could not ask for a better location with the forest of Dean in your back garden.
My wife and I took a weeks holiday here along with our dog. We arrived before out check in time and was taken directly to our cottage.
The cottage itself had everything you could need for a weeks holiday. We stayed in the Badgers cottage which had two bedrooms, a downstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath open plan kitchen / living room. Bedroom one had a double bed with bedroom two having two single beds. The cottage was very well equipped and only needed to bring food.
The location was perfect for those who like to walk, we went on long walks everyday and loved them especially walking around the forest trying to avoid the wild bore that roam free in this forest. Overall we had a great stay and well done to the owners.

“Major changes and improvements”
Reviewed September 28, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The Horse riding and event arena have been changed into a sports hall and activity center.
The Horses have gone but the forest and walks are still there and some of the best views around. Some of which are listed as areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Activities for the kids outdoors and indoor swimming and health center. Plus vineyards and cider and brewers in the area
