My husband and I ate here after taking advantage of a Groupon offer for pancakes and pimms and visited the café on a wet and windy Monday afternoon. It was quiet due to being a weekday but I can imagine that it gets very busy during the weekend and school holidays as they have farm animals and a play area to keep children occupied and entertained. The views from the café are stunning even when the weather is not so good. The service was friendly and the choice of icecreams was varied, but having to choose 3 from 16 flavours was difficult as they all looked so good! The Groupon offer was great value for money and we would return.

I have visited several times this year, consistently great food and great service. Have enjoyed breakfast here with my friends, the smoked salmon, poached eggs and muffins with hollandaise (Eggs Benedict Royale) are superb.
Have also visited with children who love the ride on tractors, under cover so can still be enjoyed in this rather wet autumn, the animals Rhea (like mini Emu), Ponies, Cows, Sheep, Goats, Hens, Peacocks, ducks to name but a few there are probably some I have forgotten. Nice little climbing frame in the outdoor eating area.
Leave room for the wonderful ice cream, this is an ice cream parlour after all :) My favourite is the chocolate and cherry but the kids also like the strawberry, the lemon meringue and the fabulous blue one : )

We went as a family for Sunday breakfast and had excellent food, service and atmosphere. The fresh ingredients were all local, with the exception I assume of the smoked salmon. The bacon and sausages were particularly good. The bacon was thicker than usual and full of flavour. The sausages were also well seasoned without being overpowering. Everything was delivered to our table hot by charming staff. Although the place was busy the staff were well organised and served everyone promptly. The weather on the day we visited was dreadful so we couldn't see much of the view. But with such delicious food we were more interested in our plates than staring out of the windows. On our way out we noticed the wide range of homemade ice cream and agreed that a return visit was called for. Can't wait.

Great location, looking across fields to Olivers Castle (stone age earthworks, later 1643 Civil War battle site) and the North West Downs AONB. If you can past the amazing and unusual variety of homemade ice cream, (from the cows you have just parked by!) there is lovely food, homemade cakes etc. Then all the entertainment for children, from variety of animals, slides etc to the most popular: picking up and moving wood shavings in the mini tractors, in the barn. Suitable all year for children and mature, plus a great stop if walking from Olivers Castle (Wessex Ridgeway) to see the Caen Hill locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal. Service is attentive, but who is in a rush, so much to enjoy, including local crafts exhibited.

This is a lovely cafe in a wonderful setting with views of Roundway Hill. Its design of huge floor to ceiling windows makes you feel you are one with the countryside. There is a breakfast and lunch menu and all is reasonably priced. There is also a selection of cakes and their homemade ice cream.

There are animals to visit, a play area and a tractor barn.

A lovely place to visit.
