“Excellent friendly Hostelry”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

My brother and I enjoyed a weeks fishing staying in the adjacent cottages.
Our holiday was even further enhanced by our frequent trips to enjoy the atmosphere in the Cranford Inn. Adrian and Sharons warm and friendly stewardship is a delight and they deserve the success that will inevitably be theirs. By-the-way the food aint half bad either. Ask Adrian whats not on the menu as he usually has somethig wonderful hiding in the kitchen!

“Good Pub along side good fishing complex”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

New owners Adrian and Sharon making a great start in rebuilding the business. 7 of us fishermen stayed in adjourning accommodation for a long weekend. Although a small menu all the food was cooked fresh and was excellent. If your staying ask about the lamb shank (has to be booked the day before as it takes 4 hours to cook) it is to die for. Great selection of beers, including three real ales all at decent prices.

“Oxford goes Fishing”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

For the second year running our 4 man fishing group have spent a long weekend at the Cranford fishery and stayed in their excellent cottages , thanks to Paul and Niki so all's well, and yet it gets better by having an excellent Pub on the premises. The Cranford Inn has recently been taken over by Sharon and Adrian and they have transformed into a proper good old English Pub, serving great beer and brilliant food... Well done all at Cranford your doing a great Job. will be back next year..

“Reasonable Pub Grub”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Visited late evening midweek. The Pub and adjoining Holiday Lets are well off the beaten track and I imagine most trade is from the cottages. It is a lovely setting and a charming old fashioned pub. The lady serving behind the bar was also the only waitress so she was certainly earning her money! We arrived fairly late on and quite a few items on menu were off. However sufficient choice and food arrived reasonablt quickly.Food was of good standard and well presented. Did not stay for dessert. We ate in bar area but did not see seperate restaurant.Staff were welcoming and all other diners seemed content, as were we.
