The Tanji Bird Reserve Eco-Camp is a different place compared to all the other places we, a birdwatching group of 14 people, have been to. The place is quiet, the rooms are clean and the manager Haddy and her staff are very dedicated to make you feel at home. The cabins/rooms are build by a Gambian architect who got inspired by Indian archtecture (no noisy fans, but a hole in the top roof, a peaceful atmosphere). Next to the dinner table are little drinking pools for the birds, lots of them us this - it's a joy to watch. There are also monkey's and we saw the longtailed nightjar in front of the hotelroom!
