The village is becoming a construction site, unfortunately. And there doesn't seem to be any building plan. I don't know how the mountain can sustain it all. Nevertheless, until another town comes to the fore, it is a good place to base yourself for a day or two in the area. There are some nice handicrafts, but the food is a bit disappointing. Just focus on the scenery which is spectacular. Be sure to walk some of the trails through the terraces. Tour groups do come through here for the day, but they mostly stay on the main walking thoroughfare.
