Longji is an excellent choice in Ping An. Very friendly people. I had a room with a stunning view. A place to feel at home, although Ping An is just a one-night location. The hotel might offer more choices for breakfast, but other than that, it is strongly recommended.

I was actually surprised how nice the rooms looked, and the views from the balcony were unbeatable. There was even a TV with chinese channels on. The beds were quite hard and we had to use blankets to make them more comfortable. The location of the hotel was excellent and the choices of food for dinner were delicious. The breakfast suprisingly included coffee, crepes and other goodies. It was also quite acceptable. Of course, the surrounding walks were very interesting and fun for the whole family. This trip was part of our 10 Guizhou excursion, so it was included and I do not know if it was good value or not, but I would recommend it for the location, and pretty good food. The staff was also quite helpful and the hotel claims to have wi-fi, which we found out as we were leaving the place. We stayed only one night, and the most negative experience was that we had hot water for only one shower.

4 adults and 28 Grade 6 students stayed here for one night on our Guilin/Yangshuo tour. Some of our students stayed in the main building and some were in an alternate building. Both were adequate for our purposes however the rooms in the main building were much nicer both in decor and amenities. The western breakfast was good and the local fare was very nice. The scenery around the hotel is breathtaking.

Room Tip: Opt for the main building as it is much nicer than the secondary building.

We were booked here by our travel agent, however I did request the hotel because the website looked good. The person who checked us in was by far the worst we came across. Our room was upstairs at the end of the corridor. It was tiny, dark, yourcould touch the ceiling, the "bathroom" smelled awful and was basically a shower over the toilet. The view was the only good thing, but you can get the same view from most of the other guesthouses in the village. We went for a walk and found a far nicer guesthouse on the other side of town as you walk up to the lookout. We collected our bags and went there instead. Leader Guestuse.http://www.leaderguesthouse.com/hotel_l_e.asp We paid much less than the advertised price. the room was clean and new.

This place was really clean. Staying in Dazhai village we did not expect this place to be five stars but I was happy that we had a spectacular view for 120 yuan per night for our room. You can get cheaper rooms from 80-100 depending on the view or lack of but what we got was spectacular. We got two hard beds, which is typical in the guesthouses though we only needed one. They were incredibly hard but we used the comforter off the other bed to make it a bit softer. The air conditioning and the excellent shower pressure was great after a long day of being hot and sweaty hiking outdoors. At night we didn't hear anything but the sound of the rain which was very peaceful.
