Went here w/ my family of 6. The place isn't new and pristine, but is probably the status quo for an 'authentic' Aruban restaurant.

The menu offered great surf and turf items which was good. The kids had a blast watching and feeding the fish as they swam by. We also caught a beautiful sunset.

It's a ways away from the northwest/hotel area of the island but I would recommend this place.. worth the drive...

Actually situated in Balashi, west of the Balashi Brewery. They specialize in fish dishes with the fish being caught fresh daily. Ambiance is wonderful with most of the tables being on a dock over the water. Several dishes are prepared Aruban style, with a Creole sauce. My wife had mahi-mahi Aruban style which was a generous portion and very good. I had the Chef's special, which was grouper, shrimp, and lobster with cheese melted on it and simmered in Creole sauce. Excellent. To spice it up a bit they offer a home made salsa which is onion and habanero based. Great. The couple next to us had whole red snapper which they raved over. Good selection of appetizers to accompany the meal. Entree prices average about $25USD. At dark they turn on the dock lights which attract schools of tarpon, angel fish, and snapper to the light to be fed bread.

Visited here on the last night of our trip. Have been her previously.
Food was outstanding, great sunset, lots of fish to see in the lights (tarpon, palometa, jack crevalle, mangrove snappers, chubs).

Everybody loved their meals, we all had fish, some with conch, some with squid, some with shrimp.

Service very sloooow to get the check, but that's fairly common, isle-wide.
