the hotel is basically on the outskirts of Dresden, close to a small city of Kesselsdrof where you can find one Turkish imbiss and one German restaurant. for anything quicker there's a petrol station round the corner ;)
the room itself is perfectly typical for an ibis budget, apart from the toilet which is incorporated into the shower tube (first surprise) and the sink in the opposite part of the room, by the window (second surprise), which makes it a bit difficult in the morning, but hilarious at the same time.
the staff did not speak English (thank heavnes for German classes at high school). many workers from the city sleep in. the hotel is non-smoking and does not have elevators (2-storey building).
very good value for money anyway.
