“Lovely town”

Unspoilt town that seems to be off the radar for foreign tourists, although it is busy at weekends with day-trippers from Rome. Set in a lovely spot at the side of a pretty lake. Perfect for trips to the surrounding towns, or for relaxing on the beach, followed by a glass of wine or a gelato. In the evenings a stroll down to one of the many restaurants for a leisurely meal is the perfect way to end the day while watching the sun set over the lake.

An hour drive from Rome, very easy to reach and one of the prettiest town by the lake. A good place for a day trip. Tranquil.

We stayed in Trevignano Romano for 7 days. Not for the first time, but that was a lot of years ago. Still almost nothing seems to have changed very much is this little town, beautifully located at Lago Bracciano. Nice and friendly people, a lot of very good restaurants and bars with reasonable prices and the real Italian atmosphere. Also a good starting point to visit Rome by car (only problem with that is finding a parking place in Rome) or by train from the town of Bracciano or a train station near Anguillara. After visiting the busy city of Rome it is nice to have a walk along Lago Bracciano. So we will certainly be back in Trevignano.
