“Stunning cottage”
Reviewed December 29, 2017 for a stay in December 2017

The barn is absolutely beautiful and the view on to the ocean incredible. We loved to be away from the city, enjoying the stunning country side of Donegal. There are plenty of beaches around and the kitchen is perfect to cook a good meal. The barn is well heated and the bed very comfortable. Ann is a super friendly host and we can highly recommend Old Phil's barn.

Reviewed August 29, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

This was a lovely place to stay. Wonderful views, decently equipped, hills to wander in, beaches to wander across, waves to surf, and fish to catch. Kept our 9 year old twins totally engrossed and entertained for a week.

“Wonderful week in beautiful Donegal”
Reviewed July 3, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

The converted barn was fantastic ... everything we needed and more, a terrace with views out to sea, close to beaches and hiking. Really nice to come back to every day... comfortable, clean and so well fitted out. Ann left us everything we needed to get going in her welcome pack, a really nice touch. We and the wee dog will definitely be back!

“Excellent .........so relaxing stay”
Reviewed April 18, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We are just back from this lovely long weekend and have to say it was a lovely setting and the view stunning. The Barn was lovely and relaxing with everything you need so cosy and the beds so comfortable loved the upstairs living and downstairs bedrooms. the balcony was fantastic given a lovely view, I got up every morning and had a cuppa just looking out to the sea and hearing the sound of the sea. We loved the routine nightly walks every night on the beach it was our nightcap having that walk on the beach. I never go back to a place twice but will be back here and cannot thank Ann and husband the owners for such a lovely welcome pack as well. Strong recommend this place you will not be disappointed, lovely home and clean, great location and lovely beaches at your door.

“cosy, spotless”
Reviewed February 26, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

This is a very cosy, exceptionally clean barn conversion. Ann has done an immaculate job. The view is stunning with plenty of beautiful beaches, hills etc. on the doorstep. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Our 9 year old daughter and wee dog had a ball and the grown ups had a chance to completely relax. Tips for the area: Tullagh Bay Equestrian Centre run summer and weekend camps for the kids; Rusty Nail pub, the best place to eat on the peninsula if you can get a table. Many thanks Ann for your hospitality, take care on thon bike!

“Perfect week away”
Reviewed November 7, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Old Phil's Barn last week. Ann is a great host. The barn is comfortable and cosy. A great location, with beautiful views. It is clean and an ideal get away.
The nearby pubs around clonmany are brilliant and very friendly.
The bed was so comfy and the electric blanket great for this time of year.
Our weeks stay was great value for money. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing break away.

“A delightful house with peaceful surroundings and stunning views.”

We are a family of three. We stayed in Old Phil's Barn 23-30 July. A delightful house. Very cosy and has everything you need for a relaxing, hassle free holiday. Ann and Gerard warmly welcomed us on arrival. The barn's bedrooms are on the ground floor, with living and dining areas upstairs. You are met with the most beautiful views from the balcony. Hills, the sea and the calming sound of sheep bleating in the distance. No matter the weather, Dunaff is a very picturesque settlement. Lovely walks along to the rocks, along quiet roads passing the cows and sheep in the fields, with the sound of the sea crashing in is the best tonic ever! The barn is spotlessly clean, and has an ensuite toilet in each bedroom. Everything you need is in the barn. Lovely to watch the sun setting over the hills, and if it's a cold evening you can wrap a little blanket around you and listen to the sea roaring in.
We absolutely loved our week in Old Phil's. The surrounding villages/towns etc are also very pretty. We ate some of the best quality food in many of the different eateries. . The standard of food was incredible. The beaches are stunning and the drive over The Mamore Gap was very dramatic indeed.
Can't wait to go back!
