Although the walk to the waterfall is relatively short it is beautiful and the waterfall is worth seeing. A lovely, peaceful place.

My friend (first time visitor to Donegal) & I spent a magical time walking up to the waterfall, it is so beautiful, completely natural. We saw fish and heard the cuckoo, something which is quite rare nowadays, as well as the waterfall. We particularly enjoyed the sign half way up beside a smaller waterfall, "Waterfall >>" just in case you were fooled and thought you had arrived!
We enjoyed a wonderful pot of tea and cakes at the Rose Tea Room after our walk. The lovely lady there told us that the walkway was a local voluntary initiative which had been hit by floods over the winter. It is a donation only attraction and well worth seeing.

Not very well known (even locally) but only a short drive from Carndonagh and Buncrana. If without a car, accessible using McGinley's coach out of Moville (disembark at Ballyliffin and then it's a 2km walk.)

The walk itself to the falls has been revamped and is suitable for most people, with minimal amount of elevation gain. Adjacent to the car park is a tea room in Glen House that also sells Maud's ice cream - so a double treat.

One could easily spend 2 hours here, going to and from the falls and stopping off at the end for something to eat or drink. (Alternatively, take a picnic and use one of the tables provided along the short route.)

Stunning walk. I was tired by the time I got there but I managed it at 8 months pregnant. Plenty of places to stop for rest and to have a picnic. The walk itself didn't take long but from the map there where more walks for those who like to go that bit further.

Well worth the drive to see this stunning piece of nature. Some great photo opportunities to be had. We stopped off for a drink at the nearby Rusty Nail beforehand - brilliant!
