“Scenic mountain gap”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

One of the more scenic stretches of road in Inishowen. A straight road on the south side and winding on the north. There is a small shrine near the top on the winding side and a few parking places to pull in and admire the view over the Atlantic. Well worth the drive and if you are a cyclist wanting to give your legs a workout then it's a must! The lower carpark is also a good setting off place for walks in the Urris hills.

“Stunning drive”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

This has to be one of the most stunning drives in Ireland. The view driving from Buncrana was excellent even though it was an overcast day. The drive isn't for the faint hearted but it's well worth a detour if you get a chance..

“Remote but well worth a visit”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

We detoured through the Mamore Gap on the way home from a golfing trip - well worth the trouble to experience the views and image just what it would have been like to live around the area in days gone by.

“Amazing Views”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

Although the view up in the gap was marred by low cloud and a heavy fog lower down the view across the Atlantic was breathtaking
