The beach is really too near the road. Probably one of the most crowded beaches (in relation to its size) that we visited during our stay (and we visited quite a lot). Sunbeds were the most expensive. We very much liked the food at the beach cafe. It was expensive but you certainly got what you paid for. Very nice staff. If you are staying in the St Lawrence Gap area I'd think twice about Mullins. Paynes Bay is far nicer in most ways (apart from the beach cafe situation - the one at Paynes is not satisfactory - the cook declined to serve food on our second visit even though the barman clearly thought food was available). Go to Paynes and take a picnic.
