Stopped here for lunch after exploring the northeast side of the island before heading back south towards Bridgetown. The bar is located right on the beach. We had a wonderful lunch. You can't beat the views no matter what table you get, the food is above average and the views are gorgeous. There are all kinds of water toys to rent and use if you have kids and you can enjoy the calm waters of the west side of the island with a Banks in your hand and a belly full of flying fish. Wanted to visit again but ran out of time:-(

The place was packed at lunch, but we had only a (very pleasant) 10-minute wait at the bar, sipping Banks beer, before we were seated.

On an island with no shortage of great food, this was the best meal we'd had yet. The Bul Jol (salt fish and diced tomatoes over thin slices of baked bread) was delicious. I had the blackened snapper as a main, served with pickled plantain over black-eyed bean stew.

The staff were supremely attentive and did their jobs flawlessly.

The view over that impossibly turquoise water is exquisite (that is, if you don't mind looking past all the kids' inflatable toys - though that would probably make this a great place for mom and dad to relax with bevvies while the kids have a blast in the water). I don't think there's a single table in the place that isn't either waterside or one tier away from waterside: all of them enjoy that view.

Highly recommended.

Nine years ago, we were married in Barbados and a couple of days after the wedding, walked along the shore and at lunchtime came across this idyllic little bay, great sands, and a Beach Bar called Suga Suga. We had a drink...and then some food....and then a little sleep and then booked for dinner. It was fabulous in all respects.
We came back to Barbados and went back. So, what was it like? Well, it is now called Mullins, the place is in better shape physically and it has gone upmarket, mainly due to its connection with the Royal Westmorland Estate. We came for lunch, my wife, seven year old daughter and myself. It was very busy, but we were seated quickly and a queue soon built up, but there is a bar area overlooking the sands and bay, so it isn't a hardship.
Part of the seating area is now only for Royal Westmorland guests, but it did not seem to effect the general restaurant. Our service was good, the food excellent and the wine list is also good. The atmosphere of this place is lively and cheerful and the dining views are uniquely beautiful.

It was more expensive then we remembered allowing for the passage of time and definitely not quite so relaxed "Caribbean" as before, but should you visit?

Yes, certainly.

The kitchen of this place is very tasty. We had seales tuna with seaweed, a shirm salad wich was delicious, the drinks are no bad. The staff is very kind and friendly. And the view is amazing. After our lunch we just make some steps to swim, and the beach is sandy and no bad for snorkeling
