As part of a cycling expedition from Pune to Dapoli, we stayed one night at Arywarta, Dapoli, in Feb 14. The place was a bit out of the way and we had a little trouble finding it. Later we did but had to trek up a dirt road as our bus couldn't reach there. Once there we were welcomed in a traditional manner followed by cold drinks and mithai etc.

We were later shown our rooms. I was given a room in the brand new building close to the reception area. The room was quite big, modern and done up very well. The bathroom was also very good with a lovely shower area. The dinner had a large variety including local Konkani cuisine. It was thoroughly enjoyed by our entire group. The bkfst the next morning had a lot of variety and choice.

I would recommend this to one and all.

Firstly I never knew where Dapoli is situated but Tripadvisor gave me some idea and I took a risk for booking my holiday at Aryawata. I think that my gamble paid off and I had a very good experience. Firstly we are vegetarian and my wife doesn't eat onion & garlic but in this part of Maharastra where everything is cooked in onion, Aryawarta gave her such food without onion & Garlic that she is pleased that we went to Aryawarta.Right from booking, we were given directions. On reaching Dapoli I called them and asked how to reach from the spot, they send someone on bike to pick up at the spot to the resort.
They have a unique way of numbering they haven't given any numbers to the rooms, bunglows etc but they are called by names of someone now I stayed in asuite it was called SHISHIR.
They have provided teamaker kettle in the room but remember NO TEA/ COFFEE POWER IS PROVIDED by them but bed tea is served as soon as you call them or at prearranged time.
Food quality served is very good and Kokani style. Staff is very good and always helpful.

Room Tip: Try for upper floor rooms in suires

This Hotel is located around a small hill, with bungalows all around the place, you basically get a one or two or three or four bed room bungalow and you have to pay as per the number of bed rooms multiplied by two guests ie for 2 bed room you will pay for four guests even if you or two or three and this includes all your meals, morning tea and evening tea with snacks. The last mile approach road is bad otherwise overall experience is excellent. The beautiful beaches with water sport facility are near by and if you are in Pune or Mumbai and are looking for a good week end location then this is the place for you.

Room Tip: Almost all rooms have good view. You must carry winter clothing as evenings or early mornings can ge...

Dont expect a 5 star luxury stay here. A pretty much average stay. The approach road to this place is bad. Everytime you need to move out of the premise the road would take some juice out of your vehicle.
As far as the stay goes, the premise is pretty decent. The bungalows are nice and spacious, however havent been maintained and the effect of nature and weather is visible.
Bathrooms are clean , however dont be surprised if you spot a frog or two.

Ambience is relaxing and you would feel closer to nature.
Not much option with the food & that would need some work. We elected not have food in the resort the second day, however that proved to be a bad idea as you would need to travel down the approach road which is sort of a challenge during night.

In terms of the cost, its certainly expensive, considering I would spend the same amount per night in a 4-5 star hotel with lot more amenities.

There are lots of places to see around, however the roads are pretty bad hence you need to ensure that you have a well serviced vehicle if you plan to travel using your own car.

Do visit if you like to have a calm and quiet holiday.

Visited this place during diwali 2013. The place does not offer much to do or visit besides some water sports at a distance of 8-10 km. The resort rooms are nice and clean and food is also good. The place is good to stay for 2 nights and anything more than that might become boring.

Aryavarta gave us an ammazing 4-bed villa Kalpataru which gave us a grand welcome of sorts. Nicely maintained and clean with all hotel like facilities and more. The food was good and the staff very very courteous. I will keep going there whenever I can.

Lots of places to see around. Murud beach was good with lots of water sports and crowd. We also went to Guhagar to our devi and Kolthare. Rest of the time spent in the warmth of Kalpataru.

Dapoli and Aryawarta Resort were recommended to me by one of my colleagues and so we planned a 2 days weekend trip there. It was a pleasant stay indeed, in a spacious Bungalow surrounded by trees and plants. The ambience of this resort was serene and relaxing. The interiors of the Bungalow are also well done. There is absolute privacy. The Food offered at Buffet is mainly vegetarian with a good variety. However, we felt the food could have been more delicious and spicy. Non-Veg is prepared and served on request though. I did not find any intercom facility to contact the reception. Moreover, walking all the way to buffet area each time, even for tea, was quite tedious. If possible, they must facilitate room service. The all inclusive package is fairly priced at Rs.1900/- pppd. Temples and Beaches and Sea food are the key attractions of Dapoli. Mahalakshmi temple and Yaqoob Baba dargah at Kelshi deserve a special mention on my itinerary, for the peaceful and divine vibes I strongly felt at these shrines. Also, Kadyavarcha Ganpati at Anjarle and the tall Parshuram Bhagwan statue coming up at Tamastirth, are a major attraction. Dapoli is a good 6-7 hour drive from Thane via Khed and the roads are uneven and narrow which makes travelling a bit hectic. However, once you reach Aryawarta and relax, you will be recharged for sure. Pack your Bags and Get Set Go!!!!

Room Tip: if given a choice, go for a Bungalow having an open terrace facing the east. It gives a wonderful vi...
