The food and hotel room were excellent . The best thing was tata sky. The staff was good and cordial. The location is walking distance from station., tourists for shegaon can have a clean and nice stay. The new suites they have built are really awesome.

In Akola's dusty, chaotic and noisy environmnent, this hotel sets a standard all its own. We visit Akola twice yearly for the past 12 years, in relation to our NGO. In the past few years, a number of newer hotels have come up, but they lack the style and 'grand old lady' flavor of this one. We stayed in the newly completed suite (room 408). It is two rooms, two baths, plenty of wi-fi connections, soft and clean towels, service with unbelievable smiles (they know us), and an owner who rivals the American grand dame, Leona Helmsley in attention to customer service. The suite is a bit expensive, about $100, but enter it, and you leave Akola, or even India, and enter high-quality living in New York, may be London. They are updating their other rooms also, at about $60. The quality of construction and finish is excellent. A/C is standard.

A couple of negatives: the water is still unbelievably hard (cakes the bathware). And the staff have not learnt to hide the ugliness of work in progress (stairs that lead to the kitchen..), and the public toilets in the reception area badly need updating. Avoid those. So, by our view, best place in town.

Room Tip: Choose a suite, or a newly remodeled room.Avoid the east side where noise from their ground-floor co...

Was here for a few hours in this extremely sleepy town. One of the best points of this hotel is its location. The hotel is situated bang outside the railway station (I later learnt that there are 2 more hotels of the same chain - but am unsure). The check was super quick. The hotel is undergoing a little renovation but that doesnt take away from the experience.

I'll be honest....the room I stayed was a standard and it could have done with better sheets and cleanliness but what offset that was the service.

I was here for a few hours and had a hearty breakfast. The waiter at the breakfast lounge was so courteous and brought fresh sandwiches to each table before place them back at the buffet. I've never had that experience before.

The food is quite delectable....quite unlike what I expected at Akola.

The hotel has Wifi and elevators too

Room Tip: Check for rooms on the first floor...they appear to be a little expensive though
