I wanted to have pleasant night after a long day traveling so I decided to spend more for a hotel. After all, 40$/night for a dirty room, unwell-functioning aircon, broken lamp, no point of having a bath tube inside because you can never have it full of warm water (if you are patient for 2hrs you can manage to make it haft full). I have no idea under which standards it is ranked 3stars hotel?!
The most disturbing thing was they tried to cheat on your money. There was a recent currency rate list on reception desk for USD, Euro, AUD etc. but they only accept payment in USD or VND. I wanted to pay in Euro because I didn't have enough VND, the receptionist checked on current rate on local bank and said it was 27.700dong=1euro, then she called her supervisor to double check and confirmed to me. When she was about to write the bill she called again and said the hotel always take 1euro for 25.000dong! What is the point of showing the currency rate on the table then??? I was too tired already for looking for other convert points at 9pm. She took 50euros from me, exchanged to and gave me VND, calculated the bill in USD with the most recent rate from the bank and asked me to pay either in USD (which is ridiculous, if I had I didn't pay in euros) or VND.
Would never come back to this place again!
